Despair

2 days have passed. The resistence group of Ember, dubbed the Dragon Knights by a few, left Ember. Lagon used explosives to seal off Ember. Many still argued that I should be buried along with it, but Gana had the final word. she, Nera, Lagon, Jane, and even Spirit, were the counsel leaders, though Gana was the main leader. We marched, but I was in a moving cell still shackled. I haven't said a word for days, and barely ate. If they saw what I saw, they be terrified too.

A week ago I was with the Dark Dracos as they attacked a village far from the war lines. A peaceful village it was. The Dracos slaughter everyone just to take their foodstocks. Tyranis made us swear no survivors. I found a food pantry and saw a mother grizzly bear with her 2 sons. I saw the fear in their eyes. The same fear I saw in my daughter's eyes. Pyron: "Go, get outta here, quick!" They ran quickly but then I saw one of the Dracos heading for them. I quickly intercepted him and knocked him down. Tyranis then knocked me from the sky. I landed hard. Tyranis: "Pyron, what do you think your doing? I said no survivors." Pyron: "N...no. This is wrong." Tyranis: "We'll discuss this home. Come."

We were back in our cave. Tyranis: Pyron, explain to me why you defied me." Pyron: "That village had nothing to do with this blasted war. Those people wanted to get back to their lives, and you slaughtered them."Tyranis: "Please, don't be as weak as your father. Come and enjoy the spoils." As he turned I lobbed a fireball at the food, burning some of it. Pyron: "No." Tyranis: "What?" Pyron: "I will not be a part of this. Not anymore." Tyranis: "Oh, you wanna leave? Pyron Pyron Pyron...don't you realize if you leave you'll be put down by those of Ember? We're your family now. Don't forget, you did kill the only lead you had to that Slayer Laiken, and your family's dead." Pyron: "My mom, dad, and twin sister..." Tyranis: "You think your wife will take you back after killing that slayer?" Pyron: "Gana isn't my wife...because I don't deserve her...but I rather die by her side than be here with you." I start to leave. Tyranis: "Pyron, your not leaving." Pyron: "Try and stop me." I ran for it. Tyranis: "Get him!"

And so I was chased by the Dracos, but I manage to take down each of them and manage my escape. As I flew, I looked at the wartorn landscape. It reminded me when I escaped from Buraki's lab and wondered the landscape and saw all the carnage. I found refuge in a swamp and rested. I looked into the water and saw my reflection. I stared at it, and hated it. I killed the one lead the resistence had to putting a end to the slayers and then focusing on Buraki and ending the war, but all I did was ran away and brought our end closer. I knew I had to go back to Ember and confront everyone. It was my only choice.

I flew to Ember, but I had to get pass the Scorchedlands. I passed Buraki's teritory, but all was quiet. There were no patrolling Aerostats, no Dragon Killers or Hunters. Not even the Golems. The Scorchlands were barren...more than usual. I continued on. As I approached Ember, I was under attack. It was a couple of dragons, no, there were 3, 4, 5 of them. I tried to fend them off, but I got snared in an electric net and fell to the ground. I was barely conscoius, but I heard one of them mentioned Ember.

Voice 1: "Look. He's waking up." Voice 2: Stay back everyone." When I woke up I found myself in a cage. I was in Ember. some dragon guards had dragged me to a cell. Then a blue dragon appeared. I couldn't believe it. It was Gana. She was a bit different. Gana: "So, you return Pyron. It wasn't easy tracking you down for 2 years. (I tried to approach her, but I was in shackles) Those are magic shackles. They prevent you from escaping and prohibits you from using your magic. Make sure he doesn't try anything tricky." She leaves. I know she was angry at me for deserting everyone. I couldn't blame her either. But then, I heard something. It sounded like Gana. It sounded like she said "I'm so glad he's okay and back." And so here I am, still in my cell as this convoy heads for an encampment. I can still hear the villagers moaning and disagreeing my presence with them. After what I did, I don't blame them.
