Crystalden

It took a while, but we finally made it to Crystalden. We met a wolfpack who had both an Alpha and Omega leader. I was stunned we found Nera and the others. Angel had wondered who I was, but when she saw my red eyes, she yelled daddy. She ran to hug me. I couldn’t help but cry.. Seems the others were glad I was back to normal. But…I doubt I was normal. That evening as we celebrated the reunion, something had bugged me. Crystalden wasn’t hit by the war. 5 years and this place was still peaceful. Aera, the Alpha female leader, asked me about Buraki and his machines. I told her what I know since I was able to get to that mechanical beast. I took notice that Gana had flew off. Maybe she need to be alone for a bit, I thought to myself. I also remember what that fairy told me. I felt depressed.

After my conversation with Aera my head started to hurt. I thought it was just a headache, but suddenly I heard a loud, squeaky high pitch sound. It was excruciatingly painful. I wanted to scratch my ears out. It was sheer torture. Then the sound stopped. As I came to I notice only the dragons and humans were affected, but not the wolves. I wondered why. As I try to collect myself I noticed Flame and Gana were flying off. I was about to give chase, but I remember what the fairy told me. I hoped Gana will be okay.

A few hours had passed and Gana and Flame didn’t return. Naturally, I grew worried, but I know Gana can take care of herself. I asked Spirit, who was still up, if he could look after Angel while I was out. I flew off to a cliff a few miles away. I needed to think. As I look at the night sky I wondered. Then I quickly realize Buraki’s Dreadnaught. If the flying fortress was a setup, then Buraki’s core should still be at the Dreadnaught. We could put an end to the war right there. I quickly got up and was about to fly off when I got zapped by electricity, knocking me down. As I was losing consciousness I remember hearing someone. I couldn’t make it out, but it was like they were saying…Laiken. I blacked out…

The Forest of Fear

We were on our way to a place call Crystalden. I never been there before, but I don’t know why we were heading there. Gana barely spoke, but…neither did I. Too many thoughts were going on in my head. Angel…the future one that is, told me Gana, her, and I were the 3 most important parts to the resistance. If one of us falls, the resistance falls. So much pressure. Another thing was that she mentioned Gana was trying to find out something about her past. What did she mean by it? Did Gana loss her memory of something? I didn’t ask, but I know I’ll eventually will sooner or later.

We came to a section where it was virtualously war-free. We decided to stop there for the night. A few hours later I woke up to a sound. It sounded like a whaling sound. Terrific, we got ghosts. Suddenly I saw a forest. I didn’t know why, but I decided to ventur in, not telling the others, who were still asleep. As I kept going the moonlight faded more and more. ???: “You have entered mortal…” Pyron: “Huh? Who’s there? Show yourself!” ???: “You have entered…now you will face…your worst fears…” My worst fears? Was this….was this the Forest of Fear? The voice faded.

I tried going back but it felt like I wasn’t making any progress. Luna: “Stop you bullies!” Pyron: “Luna?” I looked over and saw a younger version of her. Then I saw me. It was the day my Dark powers manifested. The 3 bullies were picking on her and I went to defend her. I fought them but my Dark powers had took me over. Seeing myself like that sent a chill down my spine. Even my spinal plates felt it. I ran from it, but then came to another area. It was Ember. That horrid day 5 years ago when that slayer showed up and I saw Luna slowly dying. I was engulfed in rage and my Dark powers turned me into a Dark Draco. I severely injured the slayer and went on a rampage. Pyron: “Stop! No more!” I ran. ???: ”You will face your greatest fear. You will face your greatest fear…”

I came to another area. It was ravaged by war. It was San Francisco, or to be more exact, Crisis City. Why here? I never experienced any horror here. Suddenly a dark shadow covered me. I turned and saw a large black dragon. Pyron: “Great…what did I get myself into?” ???: “Well well well…never thought I see you again?” Pyron: “Huh? Who are you?” ???: “You can call me the Enforcer, but Pyron will do.” Pyron: “What?! Your…me?!” Enforcer: “Exactly. Thanks to us, we are now free. Free of hurt, free of anger, free from all things that hurted us.” Pyron: “Free?! Free?! How can you…er, me, be free? Buraki has you, me, as his slave?!” Enforcer: “Exactly. I now serve him. The resistance was foolish to rebelled against him. I now see that after my Dark Draco form came back. With Gana and the others gone, we were free. And when the final battle occurs, you‘ll serve the great lord too. Your fate, your destiny, is sealed. You‘ll serve Buraki as his Enforcer.”

I couldn’t believe it. Was this Enforcer my ultimate fear? Am I to become Buraki’s slave? Pyron: “No….no…my fate, my destiny…is to help my daughter purge the world of his evil.” Enforcer: “What?” Pyron: “My family, my friends, everyone who has fought for freedom against Buraki, I will not ever let them down! You may be me from the future, but I will not let my dark half take me over. We will defeat Buraki and free our world from his evil!” Enforcer: “Hmm…keep that conviction in your heart and soul young one?” Pyron: “Huh, what happen to your voice? (The Enforcer turned into a fairy) A fairy?” Fairy: “I am the fairy of the Forest of Fear. In this forest my powers are amplify by how much fear is in one’s heart and soul. You have a lot of fear in you, and Buraki knows it. Remember, it’s never too late to change your destiny. Work with your friends and loved ones.” Pyron: “I will. You can count on it.” I walked away. Fairy: “One more thing…once you get to Crystalden, do not go with or follow Gana. In fact, keep away from her.” Pyron: “Say what?!” Fairy: “You 2 will split up eventually. Once you get to Crystalden, you both will split up to find new allies to help you. Use that time to strengthen yourselves for the upcoming battle. Buraki’s Dreadnaught will be operational soon, so strengthen yourselves in that time.” The fairy disappeared.

Gana: “Pyron, wake up. Come on you sleepy slug, wake up.” Pyron: “Huh…what?” Flame: “We’re getting set to go to Crystalden.” Pyron: “Wait, where’s the Forest of Fear?” Flame: “The Forest of what?” Pyron: “The Forest of Fear.” Gana: “I never heard of it. You must have been dreaming. Come on, we got to move.” Was it really a dream? It felt so real, but I recall what I said and what that fairy said. Dream or not, the final battle was coming. And the destiny of so many rests on our shoulders.

Future Shock times 3

After we rested for a while in a house we had hoped to move on. A storm pretty much grounded us so neither Gana, Flame, or I could fly. With none of Buraki’s machines anywhere to be found we took the necessary time to get some Z’s. We could use some. A couple of hours later I woke up. Gana was missing. Th storm died down as well, so I went out to look for her. Voice: “Pyronnnnnnnn…” I heard someone calling my name. I followed the voice and came across a pink dragoness. Pyron: ”Hello. Who are you?” ???: “You don’t recognize me?” Pyron: “Um…can’t say I have. Though something about you does…wait a second…I know you don’t I? Angel?” Angel: “Yep, it’s me dad. This is my true color, not like the last time we met. Now, come with me.” She grabs my paw and open up a time vortex. Pyron: “Hey, wait a sec- (She drags me in) Aaaaaaaaaaa!!!”

Angel: “Wake up dad.” Pyron: “My head. I so hate time warping. (I got up and saw we were in the future) Great. You dragged me back here. Last time you told me about the death of all of us.” Angel: “I did, but what killed you all was-” We heard a loud roar. Pyron: “What was that?” Angel: “Buraki’s enforcer. We gotta hide.” She drags me again to an abandon building. We looked out the window and saw a large black dragon flying. Pyron: “What the heck was that?” Angel: “The very thing that killed the resistance…Buraki’s enforcer.” Pyron: “That large dragon is Buraki’s henchman? And he was the one who killed us all?” Angel: “Yes. He’s on his way to the Dreadnaught.” Pyron: “The what?”

Angel lead me to the edge of town, where we came to a ravine. Pyron: “A ravine? Why is there a ravine in the middle of the city?“ Angel: ”This ravine was the place where the Dreadnaught came out of. That’s Buraki’s flying warship.” Pyron: “What?! Your telling me this ravine was made by…” Angel: ”Yes. Dreadnaught is 2 miles long and 20 stories high.” Pyron: “I see. So you brought me here to tell me we got to take down that warship before Buraki completed it’s construction, thereby averting our deaths. Good, we can get it done by-” Angel: “No dad. Dreadnaught didn’t cause your deaths. The enforcer did.” Pyron: ”Oh, so the enforcer goes down. Then send me back and we’ll find that enfor-” Angel: “No dad. The enforcer is…you.” Pyron: “Say what?!”

We went back to the grave. Pyron: “B-but how can that be? You said I died.” Angel: “You did…the good part of you. After you and mom got me to Buraki we were able to finally put an end to him, but Salazar appeared and got to you. Mom took the brunt of Salazar’s tendril, leaving you to put an end to him, but when you saw mom slowly dying and saw her blood, something happen to you. Your Dark Draco power reemerged, and ultimately your Dark powers took you over. Buraki seized the opportunity to place a collar around your neck, and there fore you became his enforcer. With you by his side, he crushed the rebellion. In other words dad, it was you who killed the rebellion.” I couldn’t believe it. Y…your saying…all this…this future…is my fault? *She nodded* Then kill me now Angel. Kill me so this future never happens.” Angel: “I can’t. Being a time traveler I seen a bunch of scenarios. (She opens another portal) You see, here is San Francisco, a place where only humans live. No dragons, no monsters, and here’s a San Fran with dragons, tigers, and foxes. No humans. I‘m showing you this because there‘s more on the line than you realize. This world is set to split into a multitude of worlds, but a powerful time dragon must split the world into separate dimensions, separate realms.” Pyron: “Wait, are you telling me Buraki plans on stopping the rebellion by killing us?” Angel: “No. He wants to capture you, stop me from using my time powers, and prevent mom from finding out about her past. In other words, the 3 of us are the most important members of the resistance. If one of us falls, Buraki wins.” Pyron: “Then…what can we do?” Angel: “I’ll send you back dad. Once your back, you’ll head for a place call Crystalden. Before you get there, you’ll rest up for the night. Take that time to separate yourself from the others and head west to the Forest of Fear. Once there travel to the deepest part, where you’ll confront your worst fear. Only by conquering it will you be a step closer to realizing your destiny. (She opens another portal) This portal will take you home. Good luck dad.” I said nothing, so I headed through. I looked at Angel, smiled, and went through.

I return back to the present. I went back to the others and lied down. As I tried to sleep I was awoken by something nuzzling up to me. It was Gana. She came back from wherever she was. I guess she wanted to be close to me. As I slept, many thoughts raced in my head. Is it true? Are Gana, Angel, and I the ultimate 3 members and the ultimate keys that will decide our world’s fate? I know for one thing, and one thing certain, my family, all 3 of us, are in Buraki’s crosshairs.
